Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is a very fun film, with a plot twist that the story starts in the middle and jumps back and forth to see what Joel’s life was like with and without Clementine. This film is a “It’s a Wonderful Life” film, where Joel realizes that being with Clementine, despite the guaranteed problems, is better than without. It’s certainly not an “It’s a Wonderful Death” movie.
